Follow up to introduction/ American Gothic

Well, I thought it was about time to mention my first television show. I have decided upon              "American Gothic" 1995-1996, created by Shaun Cassidy (Teen idol, I don't know what else to put here) and Sam Raimi (Evil Dead series). It was a horror/drama set in the small, rural community of Trinity, South Carolina. The towns inhabitants are puppeteered by the omnipotent sheriff Lucas Buck. The show's events are put into motion when Lucas murders Caleb Temples sister, Merlyn. I should not give give things away, so let me say that the show is brilliant and I highly recommend a watch. The show is streaming on Prime (Not to be confused with American Gothic (1987) or American Gothic (2016) or American Gothic (2017). It is also free on Internet Archives. https://archive.org/details/american-gothic-1995-Complete-tv-series/American+Gothic+1995+S01E01+Pilot.mkv  Anyway, the show was cut short due to low ratings, because the syndicators spent all their time censoring it that they showed the episodes out of order. Here is an adaptation of the first episode: (WARNING: IS 27 PAGES LONG- ALSO CONTAINS VIOLENCE)

Anyway, that is written by me. Series trailer is as follows:

Quote of the day is:

"Today, a balanced diet is when all your mc nuggets way the same." -Alfred E Neuman

Song of the day is:

Thank you, all done now.

Introduction

Well, golly gee. It looks like it is time for the first installment of my seventh attempt at a blog. The term has little meaning for me, as I find it unlikely that this will ever be read by anyone, including myself, after it is posted. I would consider it a bit of a time capsule, although its destination is not yet known. My expectations are that this will be merely a speck of dust, existing in a minute corner of the vastness known as the internet, occasionally bouncing back and forth between viewers. There is not much hope that this will gain traction. If, however, anyone does read this, I would like to congratulate them on finding  this obscure bit of internet nonsense. If I am reading this in the future, I would like to congratulate myself on remembering the web address. Well, then, enough about the nature of the creation. A bit of explanation about the future contents of this blog is, I suppose, needed for an introductory post such as this. My goal, in creating this is to make a space which can be used as a database of sorts, or to find television series, or movies. I plan to give reviews, references, infinitesimal factoids on the nature of our entertainment and the path it traveled to arrive where it is now. For those of you who, when hearing horror, expected the gory modernism of recent horror endeavours, I am sorry to disappoint you, but only the vintage and nostalgic shall be mentioned here. With small exceptions, of course, but only in the way of entertainment that throws us back to the feelings of a classic movie, regardless of the genre. Every post, coming out one day at a time, will also feature a song, movie trailer, and quote of the day, in addition to reviews and descriptions and streaming information about popular or obscure entertainment of the past. I hope anyone reading this will take the time to follow through the journey with me, and I can only wish you a good year, and a happy life.
